1/24/2012 This foot is made out of the wrong parts...

Variables, left foot, whaaat?? (said in whiney voice) feh, grrr, bullshit, etc. Makes no sense. Oh well. If I can't run, I can still cross train! And I should, I think, be good to run tomorrow. I hope. I'd better be, because I am journeying to Scoutland and I refuse to miss the opportunity to run at night with good company.

I did manage a short showshoe thing today, no gps, just about 30min worth. Checked out the trails near the barn - awesome silent overcast forest. Slop and slush. Yes. Then crushed it (probably not really, I just wanted to say crushed it) with some other non-running-yet-running-related activities. (Crushed what?)

Although it's morphed a great deal since its incarnation, Trek For Peace has been around since 2007. As you can see if you dig the archives, most of the old entries are about hiking. Anyway, it has yet to have its own logo, in spite of it being "on the list" for years. But when X-City Running needed a temporary fix, I couldn't help but bust out a sharpie. X-City is a new organization founded by Trail Monster David and it's totally worth checking out. They run in Portland and ANYONE is welcome. Please forgive the technical shortcomings of said logo, my disclaimer will have to be something about it taking 15 minutes and/or no longer having any useful software with which to manipulate it. I'd have liked to fix a few things if I'd been able, but the current end result is usable and I enjoyed making it.

Bond Brook trails are apparently a mess and they are asking people to stay off them until we get more snow. Just as well - I have some other stuff to work on...!

  1. What's this about your foot? We'll have to totally analyze it on tonight's run.

No apologies for your logo! Great job!
