Strange:

1) The bones of my left foot tried to secede from the union. Not sure what happened but it felt sort of disconnected and weird. Decided to cross train instead of run for that and another reason...

2) For the first time ever, I realized I was concerned that my weekly mileage was getting too HIGH. I've never been interested in "achieving" high weekly mileage. I've always been under the impression that it would adversely affect the sustainability of my pursuit (which is, basically, to just keep running until I'm dead).

3) .....but if I can do it carefully, and conscientiously, then why not? It's not like running 30-something miles per week is that high, really. Especially if your long run is going to be half that or more. Hmmmmm. Adjustment time?

I just heard about Wild Things Company through Climberism, my favorite New England Climbing zine. Wild Things makes all their clothing (technical base and mid layers, mostly) in the USA, and makes efforts to keep their jobs in New England! How cool is that? Low carbon footprint clothing = hell yes. If you can support them, please do.
